Spring Recital 2025 “Colors of Dance”
All students please arrive one (1) hour prior to recital performance time in full costume hair and makeup complete with the proper tights and shoes.
June 21 at 4:00 pm (Student Arrival Time 3:00 pm)

Dress Rehearsals at Dance Pointe Selden and Miller Place Studios During Students’ Class Times

All students please arrive to Dress Rehearsals and Recital Performances in full costume, hair and makeup complete with proper tights and shoes. Please no jewelry.

Please Place Student's Names on All Belongings
Dance Pointe is not responsible for anything that is left behind. We take much care back stage to make sure that all students' belongings stay together using our systems. If students' names are not on their belongings, we will not know who the lost items belong to. Thank you!
Ticket Holders for Parents, Family Members & Students
As long as you have your tickets admission to the auditorium is 30 minutes before show time. Please keep your tickets readily available for re-entry. There is no admission to the auditorium unless a ticket is presented. Ushers will be at the doors at all times to help with finding your seats.
Student Drop-Off and Pick-Up
Please ensure attendance at the show is in full costume and makeup one hour before show time. On the day of the show, please check in at the student check-in table. One of our staff members or assistants will greet you to sign you or your child in. At the end of the performances, students will be escorted to the auditorium to return to their families.
Backstage Guidelines (Safety First!)
Please enter the theater through the front entrance. Unless designated as a volunteer or assistant, parents and family members are not permitted backstage, each class has a designated class assistant that will be helping backstage to ensure students’ safety, needs and stage cues. Dance Pointe staff members backstage wear Dance Pointe Staff Apparel.
Backstage
Please pack students with something that they can do while backstage in-between performance numbers. NO MARKERS, PLAYDOH, PAINT OR ANYTHING THAT CAN RUIN COSTUMES PLEASE. You can also pack a snack limited to something that will not stain a costume. Pretzels are fine, nothing that has oils, chocolate, or any other gooey-oooooozy stuff that can potentially ruin costumes. WATER ONLY PLEASE, ABSOLUTELY NO JUICES OR SODAS, ETC.
Audience Etiquette
- Photography is permitted. Please no flash photography. Our performances are professionally recorded. A live stream of the performances are provided to all families free.
- Kindly silence cellular, and please refrain from texting during the performance. No food or drinks are permitted in the auditorium. Kindly arrive on time, and try to only exit and enter the auditorium prior to the start of the performance, and during intermission.
- Please do clap, give praise and adulations to your student performers during the production commending their commitment and dedication throughout the season for a performance well done!
As recital dates approach, please do not hesitate to bring forth any questions or concerns you may have…Thank you MOMS, DADS, AUNTS, UNCLES AND GRANDPARENTS for your continued support, anticipated courtesies and cooperation to make these performances a great success for your beautiful children and all our proud families!

Borrow Costumes (Winter Recital Only)
As a Dance Pointe member perk, our studios provide costumes for all students to borrow for our winter performance. Please take special care of them, and please do not wash costumes. All costumes are cleaned once they are returned to us. The week immediately after the performance is costume return week. Please return your costume(s) in “like new” condition to Dance Pointe on your next scheduled class time to be signed off on. Thank you!
